I was a teenager in high school when I participated in a national congregation funding project for churches abroad, here in the USA.  At that time, I was not working so I was not able to contribute but I participated in organizing and running errands.  It was not until my college years that I participated in a different round of church building fund abroad.  This time, I was able to contribute to two churches. 

 

Shortly after the event, I became the YMD National Vice President and was given the opportunity to go abroad to visit the youths world wide.  It was also a very opportune time as UCLE’s Oversea Department was also at this country surveying the lands for another round of churches to be built.  Our paths crossed and I was able to go out to the sites to see the church foundations.  I recall fields and marked up flags for some lands while others were cleared ready for concrete to be laid.  I returned from that trip very blessed. 

 

Life continued as I graduated college and attained many professional jobs along the way.  Many of these jobs, I was blessed to work with a variety of businesses, nonprofit organizations as well as the courts to the general public.

 

It would be years after college and my professional career took off where I would be part of WJLO again as the National Assistance Treasurer.  I was given the opportunity to revisit these once flagged bare plots of lands abroad.  This trip was truly the most humbling trip I have ever been on abroad.

 

Jesus Christ’s love for mankind is vast and wide.  His love knows no bounds, no ocean, no continent, no rugged mudslide roads can stop His love.

 

I was born again shortly after this trip.  And it was then, I truly realized what Jesus meant when He said, “thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment” in Mark 12.  

 

We do Jesus Christ’s will not to attain more blessing or fame.  We do Jesus Christ’s will because we know no amount in this human life can or will ever repay His love for us. 

 

I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to continue Jesus Christ’s love in WJLO this year as the Treasurer.  May we all realize, feel, and truly know Jesus Christ’s love in our everyday life.
